Information You Submit
A name, location, or other query entered in a search box passes to the outside provider operating that tool. We do not store those search terms on our own systems. Messages sent by email or a contact form may be retained so we can respond and are not shared beyond the organization unless law requires disclosure.
Automatic Technical Information
Page visits may produce technical records such as IP address, browser and version, device and operating system, pages viewed, time spent, referring page, and timestamps. Cookies help measure use and support site functions. Browser controls can reject cookies, though some features may then work differently.
How Information Is Used
- Operate, secure, and improve site performance.
- Send search requests to the selected partner.
- Measure which Jefferson Parish resources visitors use.
- Diagnose faults and prevent misuse.
- Display advertising that may reflect inferred interests.
Outside Websites and Advertising
Links lead to JPSO rosters, Louisiana corrections pages, government portals, courts, and third-party search tools. Once selected, the destination’s privacy terms govern. Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and tailor ads.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal information. Information may be provided to search partners processing a query, analytics vendors, advertising networks, and law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order.
Security Is Best Effort
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no internet service can promise absolute security or guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian may use Get in Touch to request deletion if a minor submitted information.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law, a visitor may ask for a copy of personal data held, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. Louisiana Public Records Law, R.S. 44:1 et seq., governs government records held by public offices, not private-site data requests.
